Conspiracy!
	Backdoor planning.
A grab for power, control, and wealth by a cunning elite!!

This is perhaps one of the most difficult sections for a rational, analytically thinking economic reform advocate to write.

Rational thinkers abhor declaring "conspiracy theories."

And yet, here we have conspiracy. But it is not a theory. Here, we will offer up facts and evidence to back up everything we advocate.

This section is called "Green Tyranny Reform" for a reason. There are multiple initiatives underway that on the surface present themselves to us as being concerned for the environment.

We experience these as "Sustainable Growth" or "Smart Growth" planning, and the restrictions that come with them.

We are asked to embrace these because we are also told to believe that the naturally occuring changes in climate and temperature are now driven predominantly by "human-caused Global Warming."

Since recent weather doesn't comply with the alarmists' predictions, and the research methodologies they have employed have come under suspicion, advocates have re-branded this issue more generally as "Climate Change." That way, they can claim credibility asserting their warnings no matter which way the climate changes for any particular area on Planet Earth.

It is notable that whether the issue is "Sustainable Development", "Smart Growth", "Climate Change", or other of the related areas, the solutions posed to address them inevitably require loss of property, or loss of its use, increased taxes, decreased liberty.

And, inevitably the transfer of wealth and opportunity elsewhere.

A serious challenge to the liberty, opportunity and prosperity of the United States can be found in the intentional indoctrination of the myth of human-caused global warming into the national narrative.

Throughout human history, tyrants and would-be autocrats have endeavored to con or force populations into giving up their liberties and their wealth ostensibly to serve a "common" or "better good." Generally, these appeals and initiatives have worked. One needs only to consider the last 3000 years of recorded human history, and even the status of the majority of the globe's population today.

However, the most prosperous nation on the planet, the United States, and its democratic capitalist bretheren have until recently represented a bulwark against this tyranny. It turns out that people governed by relatively few laws imposed to:

• secure fair dealing (contract law),
• guarantee the control of one's own property (e.g. intellectual, or real, and legally acquired), and
• render them free to choose among a variety of competitive and innovative products ...

... actually prosper.

And, those who don't live under those circumstances don't prosper.

The myth of human-caused, or manageable global warming is intended to convince people to voluntarily give control of decisions that ordinarily would be considered personal freedoms and liberties to an autocrat. It is intended to make people willing to give more of their property and wealth (via confiscation, re-zoning, and increased taxation) to agencies and people who will "spend or manage it for them for the common good."

John Bush, in the video at right, sums up the impact of the U.N.'s Agenda 21 initiatives, in the video at left. (Unfortunately, he was unable to prevail on his city legislature to refrain from implementing Agenda 21 supportive legislation.

While advocates for "Sustainable Development" or "Smart Growth" planning hold community meetings in order to secure consensus for the approval of their plans with the local governing boards, these meetings are often convened with a predetermined outcome in mind, rather than for their stated objective of seeking community input.

In the video at right, you will see how citizens are typically "timed out" when they ask questions about impacts to businesses or jobs at meetings seeking consensus for plans which restrict the development of housing, roads, parking, etc.,

You may also want to watch the first 5 1/2 minutes from a video report of a One Bay Area Agenda 21 meeting to see how many react to the tactics used in public planning meetings to convince people to embrace the letting go of their freedoms, wealth, and personal options.

Put bluntly, economies that do not respect contract law, personal and intellectual property rights, and the rights of peoples to engage in freely comparative and competitive commerce eventually deliver widespread deprivation and poverty, if not serfdom.

Our goals are:

• To expose the fraud and the purpose of the "Sustainability", "Green", and "Climate Change" narratives (propaganda) perpetrated by those who would govern us, at all levels.
  
  
• To take action to implement a general retraction from government laws, actions and regulations at all levels that are based on these narrative myths.
  
  
• To work with other concerned citizen groups across California and the nation to form broad-based popular demand-driven protections for private property rights, freedom from taxation and wealth confiscation designed primarily for wealth redistribution to politically favored groups and businesses.

The narratives of "Sustainable Development," "Smart Growth," and mitigating human-caused "Climate Change" are championed and supported by the United Nations, and fall under the topic of "Agenda 21." We will touch on the over-arching plan of Agenda 21 throughout this section. A short review of the narratives may be helpful.

And before we do that, allow us to leave you with this quote:

"Participating in a UN advocated planning process would very likely bring out many of the conspiracy- fixated groups and individuals in our society... This segment of our society who fear 'one-world government' and a UN invasion of the United States through which our individual freedom would be stripped away would actively work to defeat any elected official who joined 'the conspiracy' by undertaking LA21. So we call our process something else, such as comprehensive planning, growth management or smart growth." - J. Gary Lawrence, advisor to President Clinton's Council on Sustainable Development.

Many resources on Agenda 21 reference a rather "smoking gun" statement issued by the UN in 1976, over 35 years ago, at the United Nations Conference on Human Settlements, Vancouver, Canada. This statement on land, posted here on the UN Habitat web site, among other things states,

On "Smart Growth"

Under the UN's concept of land and resource management, the owner is not the one who has the right to determine how his or her land is to be used. It is a higher authority that represents the "community" to whom "proof" must be offered that a proposed use is justified. This process effectively separates the right of ownership from the right of use.

On "Climate Change"

We should state right off the bat that the Earth warms, and the Earth cools, and climate changes. And it has done so ever since it aggregated over 4.5 billion years ago.

While there has been much said regarding carbon dioxide from human sources as being responsible for most of the climate change and temperature increases we have experienced over the last 20 years, the inconvenient truth is that these assertions are quite unlikely to be true. They do not stand the test of scientific rigor.

In fact (fact!), the earth has not experienced consistently increasing temperatures over the last 20 years. Over the last ten years, the trend is more consistently decreasing.

Human-caused global warming (abbreviated AGW) is a myth.

The above chart indicates that observed global mean temperatures (lower blue and green lines) have been decreasing vs. the U.N. IPCC global temperature model predictions (all the consistently increasing lines).

The chart at right undercuts the AGW myth even further. Temperatures have been decreasing for several years even though global mean concentrations of carbon dioxide have been steadily increasing. Enough said regarding the credibility of their flawed models.

Alas, for the story tellers, the climate models supporting the myths of AGW have gone cold.

The carbon myth and the people who support them must be exposed to the public, challenged and pushed back.

1. Review current and proposed anti-carbon laws and regulations, and develop and prioritize plans for attacking them.
   
   
2. Form teams to birdog local agencies and to participate in public hearings on anti-carbon laws and their derivatives.
   
   
3. Examine the carbon myth propaganda materials being disseminated to our K1-12 school systems and develop counter strategies and materials for distribution.
   
   
4. Enumerate Federal and California laws and regulations and bills under consideration that need to be attacked.
   
   
5. Ally with other like-minded groups, to develop a broad-based coalition to pressure state and Washington D.C. politicians to retract all Agenda 21 type legislation.
   
   
6. Find truth-squad speakers to present candidly and credibly to school assemblies, business groups civic gatherings and church groups.
   

The East Bay Tea Party is pro-environment. We are a conservative organization, and therefore we find it quite natural to "conserve." We support clean and safe drinking water, clean air, clean streets! We support the maintenance of wilderness areas. We want safe food for our children, for you, and for ourselves.

However, the initiatives promoted by Agenda 21, by ICLEI, are not really about being good shepherds of our environment and our resources. They appear to be so, and certainly much of what is advocated by the "Sustainable Development", "Smart Growth", "Wilderness Defense", etc., groups might hold positive, conservation-oriented, impacts for our environment. Rather, these initiatives are intended to transfer wealth, or the control of that wealth, from you to others.

• If we do not send money to developing nations, and the poor here at home, to offset the costs of mitigating global warming, isn't that being racist? Anti-poor? Discriminatory?
  
  
• What about social justice? Leaders at the U.N. and elsewhere have stated that the issues of Climate Change and Sustainable Development are not about the environment, but rather are really about Social Justice? Without wealth transfer, how will we promote social justice?
  
  
• What about the environment? If people can simply build and live anywhere they want to, we will eventually lose all our natural habitats. Don't we need to protect wilderness areas, or restore them?
  
  

Consider much of the "Climate Change" legislation on the books. Why is it that breaching arbitrarily set CO2 levels seems always to result in a fine, or a tax? Why not, if they are so noxious, simply make various activities illegal, rather than a tax revenue source? Why should "Cap and Trade" legislation, for example, result in any revenue for governments at all?

Given the direct correlation between economic activity and CO2 production, why would governments who have signed on to CO2 reduction targets seek to re-stimulate their economies, when doing so increases their production of CO2?

The answer - because the political anxiety over CO2 has little to do with a fear of raising global mean temperatures. It has everything to do with wanting a new revenue source. It has everything to do with an industrial lobby that wants to sell "green" technologies into a subsidized and mandated marketplace. And it has everything to do with a grab for power and control of:

• your wealth and your potential to generate wealth,
• your property and your potential to acquire property, and
• your liberty to freely pursue a way of life consistent with your own values, dreams, and efforts.

Don't be duped. Be educated. Don't be led. Lead. Don't take whatever comes. Advocate!!
